Project Description

Education and Prevention

Education and educating children and youth to empower them is paramount for Al-Hurraya. We work with local schools and Education providers and deliver awareness and prevention workshops. We provide 1-to-1 counselling sessions for children who have behavioural problems and those who have dealt with trauma. We also work with refugee children. These workshops are interactive and engaging and encourage students to learn at their pace in a manner which will ensure that they will retain the knowledge. Some of the topics that we cover are Healthy relationships, Extremism and Radicalisation, Drugs, Gang Culture, Knife Crime and Substance Misuse. Please note we also have a library of resources which are continuously updated and adapted to meet the needs of our young people. We use interactive materials and social media to ensure engagement.

All our School/College/Academy based programmes are presented again by trained practitioners who are all DBS cleared. All students/staff will also have access to support should they need it if they find the session distressing. For more information on this or if you have any questions please contact please fill in the contact page and we will get back to you.
