This project provides mentorship to ethnic minority young people in Nottingham who are aged 16-24 years, have a criminal record and/or are not in education, employment, or training (NEET). The goal of the project is to help these young people reach their full potential by providing them with positive role models, support, and guidance. 

Young people can be dealing with a range of challenges like substance misuse, poverty, mental health issues, exploitation, domestic abuse and other household challenges. These issues can negatively impact their motivation, well-being, and school attainment. If not adequately supported, many vulnerable and impressionable young people can enter into a cycle of crime.  

Therefore, to address these issues, and break the cycle, our goals are:  

• To provide young people with positive role models who can offer guidance and support. 

• To help young people develop their skills and knowledge. 

• To help young people overcome challenges and achieve their goals. 

• To reduce the risk of reoffending.
